What Causes High Cholesterol Levels And Fever?

Hi This morning I have noticed there is a hard vein like string sticking out from under my right arm pit when i raise my arm I can see it attached from top of the arm pit to bottom of armpit. It s raised ...sticking out like a string. I m very much worried as I have high cholesterol and have been prescribed cholesterol tablets to lower it. But I have stopped taking them as I m afraid it may be a cause of this vein like thing u derived my arm pit. I also have fever for 2-3 days now. Please let me know what it is. I m really worried. General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to cholesterol and nothing much to worry about it. In some individuals, the veins might be more superficial and it does not indicate any disease condition.

As of now, no definite treatment is required. If your cholesterol level is too high, consult a physician and start on drugs like statins.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
