What Causes High Blood Sugar Level While On Lantus Insulin?

I am taking lantus insulin, 35 units, in evening at 8 PM, once daily. additionally my dose of other diabetic medicines is as under: Morning: Zeta plus, Glenmark, Teneligliptin 20 mg. 1 tablet; Volix M (0.3 mg voglibose & 500 mg metformin), Sun Pharma, 1 tablet; Eurepa 2 (Repalin 2 mg), Torrent, 1 tablet. Noon: Volix M (0.3 mg voglibose & 500 mg metformin), Sun Pharma, 1 tablet; Eurepa 2 (Repalin 2 mg), Torrent, 1 tablet. Evening: Volix M (0.3 mg voglibose & 500 mg metformin), Sun Pharma, 1 tablet; Eurepa 2 (Repalin 2 mg), Torrent, 1 tablet. My blood sugar remains between 100 & 225 depending upon food I take. Can you sggest any change in above dose and insulin dose?

Hello,

You are on basal Insulin plus oral anti-diabetics (fairly good combination).Since optimum blood sugar is yet to be achieved (ideal PPBS 140 mg%).

Without changing dose of Inj Lantus,oral Canagliflozin after lunch (major meal) once daily can be added. Home glucose monitoring with glucometer is advised.
