What Causes High HDL And Low LDL Levels In Blood?

I have always had an extremely high HDL and low LDL ... and the one has lowered and the one gone higher. What a shock to see the difference. Now the LDL is 95 and the HDL 75. Scares me ... I ve got work to do! What would make them change so much in just one year? We eat out a lot, so that s probably part of it. Is it possible to get rid of the placque that s there now, or do we just try not to add more? Go off of carbohydrates and sugar? I m sorry for all of these questions! I didn t realize this costs money ... so just disregard.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi
thank you for asking your concern and welcome to hcm. i would like to tell you that your hdl and ldl levels are completely normal. moreover your hdl value are very good more than 60 is actually protective for heart and you have 73. LDL is the bad cholesterol and it harms the vessels and heart it should be less than 100 which you have. HDL is good chelesterol and it should not be less than 45 and you have 73 which is very good. for you there is not need to worry about anything. fast foods, alcohol and excess fat is always harmful to body and exercise is the best medicine. keep eating healthy and keep exercise you will live a wonderful life ahead.
if you feel any doubt please ask us.
regards
dr abhijit
