Hi & Welcome.
I can understand your concern.
The symptoms described in your query are suggestive of a pregnancy complication due to high BP referred to as 'Preeclampsia'.
It is a pregnancy-specific, multisystem disorder that is characterized by the development of
hypertension and
proteinuria after 20 weeks of pregnancy. Its complications include increased risks of
placental abruption, acute kidney failure, cerebrovascular and cardiovascular complications,
disseminated intravascular coagulation, and maternal death. Therefore, early diagnosis of preeclampsia and close observation are imperative.
She needs to be examined by an obstetrician immediately for further evaluation. Certain lab tests such as CBC, kidney and liver function tests (including 24-hour urine collection for total protein measurement), coagulation profile, & pelvic ultrasound to assess the baby's growth & the amount of fluid in the uterus (
amniotic fluid). She may be given medications to lower her high BP under strict observation.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful to you in getting an urgent consultation and treatment.
Wishing you best of your health.
