Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed my left side of my body is somewhat more less developed than the right. For example the fingers on my left hand don t wiggle as fast as my right or is very good at any fine motor skills such as typing on a computer. I also feel like my right leg is physically heavier and more powerful on my body when relaxed. Even when looking down my body my right side of my stomach sticks out more? And my left eye and left side of my mouth look smaller and droopier on pictures. Also the strength difference on my right is significantly more than my left despite using both sides of the body equally. I just wondered what this was because I am worried. Any ideas?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As per my clinical knowledge, the discrepancy of motor power of the two sides of the body is usually related to central or peripheral nervous system issues. I recommend to consult your PCP and later if required he or she will refer you to Neurologist for detailed evaluation.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
