What Causes Hematoma In Lower Right Quadrant Of Abdomen?
I have a 19 by 6 inch mass in my lower right quandrant in my abdominal that has slowly been growing for four years. Dr did not want to remove it being that he thought it was a hematoma and would re absorb. I have had 2 surgeries in 3 days with no answers and extreme excruciating pain. All they removed were small amounts of clear fluid. They thought the pain all of a sudden was due to an abscess but when operating they found no evidence of an infection. Any thoughts of what this is?
Hi, has a CT Scan been done. That would help reach a diagnosis. What is your age? Have you had appendicitis in the past? These details would be required to reach a diagnosis. It could very well be Appendicular abscess or lump leading to the collection. Have the Surgeons removed your appendix? Have they sent it for Pathological examination? Please provide the details so we can advice you better. You can also reach me directly by posting a query on my Profile page or using 'Ask a Specialist' section of the site. Will look forward to hearing from you. Take care, Dr Rishi, New Delhi, India.
