What Causes Heavy Vaginal Flow After Taking Deviry For Periods?

I am married aged 28 years. I did not get my periods till 3 months, did pregnancy test which was negative. After that with doctor s advice I took deviry 100 mg and got my periods. But this time there is too much overflow till 4th day, I have never had so much flow with changing 5 pads a day. Please advice on what should I do?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi, thanks for using healthcare magic

The flow should decrease as the days of the period continue, if it does not slow down or the period lasts longer that 7 days, there are medications that your doctor can use to help slow it down for you.

If your other periods continue to be heavy or irregular , you may want to consider hormonal blood tests and imaging such as ultrasound to determine the cause.

I hope this helps
