What Causes Heavy Vaginal Bleeding With Foul Odor After Intercourse?

I ve recognized a vaginal infection and a yeast infection several times but this is new. About two days ago I had sex and I started bleeding. This has happened on several occasions but this time it s not stopping and I m wearing liners but it smells really bad...not like a period smell but a rotten smell. What could this mean?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Bleeding after intercourse needs good evaluation to rule out problems with the cervix especially cervical cancer. You will need a pap smear to rule it out. Another possible cause is sexually transmitted disease so having a gynecological visit and cervical smears for chlamydia and gonorrhea is recommended.

I hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
