What Causes Heavy Sensation Across Front Of Head And Nose Bleed?
I am getting a heavy sensation across the front of my head and a nosebleed from my left nostril has usually followed twice between last night and this afternoon. I ve had severe sore throat and mucus clogging and temperatures for the last week but I m taking amoxcillin, paracetamol and exputrex to get rid of that. That flu has eased but now there is this heavy sensation and nosebleed and I just feel like sitting in a dark quiet place. My blood pressure was raised with the flu I m recovering from has this got to do with the heavy sensation, thanks, Aileen.
Hi, It appears that you have severe upper respiratory infection. Heaviness of head is due to acute sinusitis. Nose bleed may occur in patients with sinusitis. It is fairly common. So, I think there is no need to worry about that. Just allow the infection to subside with antibiotics. It may take two to three weeks or sometimes more. But it is always better to do a blood test to rule out other causes of nasal bleed. Whenever bleeding occurs, pinch your nose, lean forwards, breathe and spit through nose.Keep ice packs over the forehead. Visit emergency if the bleeding continues.
