General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.
I have gone through your question and understand your concern. Jelly like discharge is quite normal it can be normal uterine epithelium (cell layer) shedding along with blood during regular menstrual cycle. Heavy flow can be caused due to the use of anti coagulants (blood thinners) and is the most common side effect seen in female patients on blood thinners, so don’t panic. Seek your treating doctor’s advice if you feel dizziness and weakness due to heavy blood loss during your periods. Do remember blood thinners are prescribed only after through calculation of risk benefit ratio keeping in mind the side effects. Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
