General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Did you have taken any medication recently? Like oral contraceptive pills or aspirin or any medication for blood thinning? As, these medications can cause heavy bleeding.

Other causes may be uterine fibroid or any cervical pathology. To rule out, please consult a gynecologist. Sometimes, severe physical and mental stress can also lead to heavy bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Hiren Hirpara
