What Causes Heaviness In Body Upon Waking Up From Sleep?

HI PLEASE KINDLY HELP ME UNDERSTAND MY BROTHER JOHNS MEDICAL ISSUE. ON THE MORNING OF MARCH 6 2016 HE WOKE UP FEELING VERY HEAVY HE COULD NOT SIT OR STAND UP. HE WAS TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL BUT THE NURSES AND DOCS DID NOT IDENTIFY AND TELL US HIS SICKNESS, THEY ADVISED US TO TAKE HIM TO THE GENERAL HOSPITAL FOR FURTHER CHECKS.

Regarding your symptoms of brothers heaviness of the body and difficulty to walk after woken up from sleep I am suggesting the following differential diagnosis
Encephalopathy
Myopathy
Upper motor neuron lesion
Spinal cord compression syndrome
Cerebrovascular accident
Metabolic disorder

In view of this please do check the blood pressure drugs following test
CT SCAN
MRI TEST
LUMBER PUNCTURE TEST
BLOOD CULTURE
SERUM ELECTROLYTES LEVEL
Meanwhile please see a neurologist specialist with the results and for further clinical assessment Councelling and adequate drug prescription
