What Causes Heaviness During Breathing After Inhaling Bleach?

Hi, I accidentally breathed in fumes from bleach while cleaning. I dilluted the bleach in warm water which I shouldn t have done, I should have dilluted it into cold water. I think this caused some fumes. After cleaning I ventilated the room well. Now afterwards I feel a bit heavy while breathing - is this dangerous? I have asthma but took my inhalers after this and went to my balcony to breathe in some fresh air.

Hello dear, thanks for your question on HCM.
Yes, bleach fumes can cause bronchitis and this can cause heaviness in breathing.
Since you are asthmatic, chances of bronchitis are even more.
So in my opinion you are having bronchitis.
But no need to worry much as you have done good thing by taking your inhaler and fresh air.
So within few hours you will mostly improved.
If your heaviness still persists then consult doctor and get done clinical examination.
But at present no need to worry because you have taken correct steps of inhaler and fresh air.
