What Causes Heartburn In Chest And Pain Under Tongue?

I had "heartburn" pain in my chest between my breasts for much of the night. a little while ago while shoppin g the pain came back sharp and was accompanied by pain under my tongue lasted about 7 mins and slowly receded. should I be concerned about a possible heart problem? Also, I am having a bit of difficulty with my words. thinking to say something and saying a similar but incorrect word and spacing out a bit: I pulled into the drive-up line at arby's and forgot to stop at the order speaker. I did a couple of these kind of things in the last 3 hours.

Hi Dear ,

As per your query you have symptoms like pain or heartburn in middle of chest , difficulty in speaking , pain under the tongue and you also experiencing pain at night . Well there can be two probable reasons possible for symptoms you mention in query :-

- Firstly this occur due to acid reflux disease , which further occur due to dysfunction of upper esophageal sphincter .

- Secondly it can occur due to heart related problems , because of typical symptoms like painin middle of chest and speaking difficulty due to shortness of breath . I would suggest you to consult cardiologist for proper examination . Doctor may order ECG , TMT test , chest X-ray and complete lipid profile . Doctor may prescribe nitriglycerine , betablokers and blood thinners . Doctor may also refer you to gastroenterologist if symptoms are related with acid reflux .
