What Causes Heart Palpitations?
What causes heart thumping, there no pain, went I eat dinner or drink water after about a few minutes I can feel a thumping in my chest and sometimes near the top of my stomach. I have had gerd problems this runs in the family, it seems to go hand as hand becuase after the thumps I belch or feel a little gas

Well come to HCM
because of the GERD such symptoms is just likely, but it would be advisable to get done the cardiac evaluation, you have not mentioned your age and gender here else I would think about the possibility of age and gender related, better to have a medicine for GERD, and the option would be Tab Omeprazole 40 mg once in day and Tab Domperidone once in day, hope this helps.
