HI welcome to HCM.
Palpitations of heart can lead to symptoms of chest discomfort due to impaired filling and emptying of the heart. This can sometimes lead to coughing.I advice you to have a 2D echo and 24hr holter Ecg.This can accurately quantify the rhythm abnormalities.Treatment includes propanalol with amiodarone.Radiofrequency ablation can offer permanent cure in special situations.Consult a cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you
