Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Hearing Sensitivity After Hearing A Loud Noise?
Yesterday morning (after all the loud fireworks over July 4th) i noticed my ears are EXTREMELY sensitive to noise. Today, my R ear is still feeling terrible, but my L ear seems to be better. Everything seems extra loud, and when I speak I seem to hear the vibration in from my voice. I can still hear out of it, but it s so sensitive. Is there ANYTHING I can do or take?? and how long will it take to go back to normal?
It seems that your symptoms comes as result of loud noises you have heard recently. There is no any special treatment or medications to bring them back to normal. Just having rest, sleeping and not hearing any loud noises anymore.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
