What Causes Hearing Loss After Using Earwax Removal Kit With Carbamide Peroxide?

I thought I had earwax buildup, because hearing was reduced in one ear. I tried an earwax removal kit with carbamate peroxide, but now the hearing loss is significantly worse. I don't know if this might warrant an emergency situation or whether I should make an appointment with a specialist.

You should make an appointment with an ENT specialist. This is to see if the tympanic membrane is ruptured and if so, Otitis Media may develop. Hearing loss is marked during tympanic rupture.

By that time please ensure that water doesn't go into your ear. Have smear of vaseline and plug cotton in ear during bath. No swimming please.

ENT specialist will guide you further to tympanoplasty need, if any.

Hope it solves your apprehension.
