I am taking 200 MG of Lamictal twice a day, 100 mg. Topamax at bedtime and now I just started 50 mg of Seroquel. I have had headaches for several days. I understand that Seroquel is a antidepressant drug. A long time ago, I was only on a fibermyalgic drug that was used for my manic disorder by my primary and I was hospitalized. I am concerned. My psychiatrist had me on Lamictal 200 mg., Topmax 50 mg. and Zyprexa since 2011. He had me go off the Zyprexa completely. It took me 2 weeks to wean myself off. He tried 2 days of Depakote and I had real bad head pain. He told me if the Seroquel does not agree with me because of the headaches to go back on the Zyprexa - not even telling me to take one or 2 tablets of 2.5 mg. at night..... I had to specifically ask his secretary. I feel good more alert on the antidepressant but just researched it tonight and realized what it was. He never asked me if I could take this type of medicine. I went off the Zyprexa because I believed it put me in a manic spending state that was a near financial disaster since 2011 when he put me on it. I have to stay with him until I have another doctor. My question is to you. Should I stay on the Seroquel a few more days and see if I still have head pain and then go back on the Zyprexa? What are your thoughts?
