What Causes Headaches, Ear Ache, Blurred Vision While Having Balancing Problem?

Have had problems with balance for five years. Initially balance problem would last several weeks at a time. MRI ruled out MS. Symptoms now include mild, spaced out feeling in head all the time and permanent tinnitus in both ears. Walking in open spaces requires concentration to stay on track. Now having more frequent episodes of severe spaced out feeling, ear ache, ear fullness, cluster headaches, sensitivity to loud noise and bright lights, slightly blurred vision, occasional pain in neck. Drs don t think it is Menieres, but no tests done. CT scan ordered to rule out acoustic neuroma.

Hello!
Thank you for your question on HCM!
I read it carefully!

Regarding your concern I think that your problems may be related to the inner ear.
As you refer your MRI results normal.
So a neurinoma can be excluded.

I would recommend you to consult with the ENT specialist and have an audiogram and labyrinth tests.
Betahistine would be helpful for the chronic dizziness.

Hope to have been of help!

Greetings!

Dr. Aida
