What Causes Headache While On Macrobid?

My wife has a fever, shallow breathing and bad headache. She started taking Macrobid antibiotic for a UTI a couple of days ago, and got a headache each time she took a dose, but woke up a few minutes ago with a 101 degree fever and shortness of breath ... what should we do?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if macrobid cause headache . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query But in your case the symptoms are probably due to macrobid as its side effects . I would suggest you to consult your doctor and discuss the condition . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . For now take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Fever and shortness of breath is due to infection and take few days to go . If they get worse also ask your doctor about this .
