What Causes Headache, Vomiting, Back Pain, Walking Problems With Neck Pain?

Hello Dr. This is "Yoga Prakash", Actually I am facing one neurological disorder from last 3 years. The problem is every 2 months gap I am getting headache and vomiting severely and it’s existing up to 72 hrs. Even if those episode days I am not able to get up and walk properly, and used to feel severe neck pain. I consult couple of doctors and they are telling its migraine. Could you please tell me where to consult for the proper treatment? And it’s Completely curable or not? Regards, Yoga Prakash

Hello Yoga Praksh,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Yes, your doctors had told right, it seems migraine. It is common problem.More in female ,less n male.Age 20 to 40 more prone.

Two types of treatment for migraine.
Primary Prophylaxis:
In which medicines to be taken daily to prevent headache. This approach is used when frequency of headache is high and affecting person's daily routine and work.
Medicines used are propranolol, flunarizine, amitriptyline or sometime valproate depending upon patient's suitability and doctor's choice.

Secondary Prophylaxis:
In which medicines are given when person feels that headache is about to start or just started. This type of approach is used when frequency of headache is not so much that person's daily routine affected but severity of headache is more.
Medicines used are from Triptan and NSAIDs groups like sumatriptan and Naproxyn.Nasal spray of triptans also available for early relief.

You should consult psychiatrist or Neurophysician if you physician can not treat your problem
It is curable or not that depends on individual patient profile. In some two months prophylaxis is sufficient, in some for two years while in some once or twice a year prophylaxis needed.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards,
Dr.Chintan Solanki.
