What Causes Headache, Profuse Sweating, Vomiting And Diarrhea?

It starts with a bad headache then profuse sweating all over the body. Then starts the vomiting and diarrhea. I am totally incapacited for 6-12 hours. There is no rhyme or reason for this occurrence. It happens at random times during the year. It always starts early morning hours.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello

I think it might be acute gastroenteritis. However, we should rule out strep throat, spikes in blood pressure and too low blood sugar levels.

Should check your blood pressure and sugar levels, and record the results for reference. Discuss this with your caring doctor.

Meanwhile should take:

- plenty of fluids
- oral rehydration salts
- probiotics to stabilize intestinal flora
- Tasectan or Pepto Bismol for diarrhoea.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
