I think the dose is being high for you> the sugars are definitely on the lower side.
I think you need to slow down the process. Take only 4 units of
insulin in the morning and keep check on the sugars. I suspect that by this, your sugars should come back up to 100 or so. If they remain there, you can continue the same.
Also, make sure that the method of administering insulin and the site where you are putting insulin is right. Insulin is supposed to be given superficial. If it enters deep, you may have trouble.
Also check the dose of vial and the syringe. They should match.
If they go higher, a small dose like 1-2 units may be added at before dinner time.
