Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Judging from your description it seems that it is most likely tension type headache. It is the most common type of headache. It's a primary headache, meaning without an identifiable cause, but often triggered or exacerbated by stress, like it seems in your case. For the moment only over the counter pain killers like Ibuprofen or aspirin are necessary along with relaxation techniques to reduce stress. Only if chronic are regular prevention medication like Amitriptyline considered.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
