What Causes Headache, Dizziness And Low BP In A Diabetic Patient?

Hi, I am on 10 not 5. I take 2 5 mgs or whatever and have experienced insulin type reactions. I have a headache, very dizzy, can t think straight etc. I was wondering if my blood pressure was getting too low. I chose to only take one 5 mg tablet and I seemed to be ok. I took my blood pressure at a pharmacy and it was 130/56. I am an insulin dependent diabetic and have been 45 years.

Recurrent dizzy spells in a diabetic patient are generally due to autonomic neuropathy. It need not be due to low blood pressure, but can be due to sudden fluctuations in the BP as well. You need to keep a watch on salt intake which should be balanced and avoiding sudden posture changes might be helpful.
Hope this helps.
