Hi, thanks for asking from HCM.
I can understand your concern. According to your history, you most probably had
concussion. It was not a dangerous injury as you are conscious, oriented and able to move around.
However persistence of
dizziness, headache even after so many days points towards "Post concussion syndrome". It means persistence of headache, vertigo, occurrence of irritability, brain fog for few weeks after episode of concussion. Usually it occurs after repeated concussion injuries. It can also cause anxiety.
To relieve your symptoms, you should
- Take rest and avoid strenuous activities like exercise/jogging.
- Take painkiller like
paracetamol or
diclofenac after proper prescription, in case of headache.
- Take anti vertigo medication like betahistin after proper prescription in case of dizziness.
- For anxiety symptoms, you can take tablet
clonazepam after proper prescription.
- If symptoms worsen or still persist, you should consult neurosurgeon and get NCCT head. NCCT head will rule out any bleed or fracture. Small bleed or fracture are mostly managed conservatively with above medication.
Hope it will help you. If still in doubt, do let me know.
Thanks. Take care.
