What Causes Hardness Of Gum Behind The Front Portion Of Teeth?

Hi, I have a hardened part on my gum behind my two front bottom teeth. its not discolored but i can feel it. i swish after brushing my teeth with peroxide. two days ago it went from a normal feeling to being hardened, like a scab, seemingly from the peroxide but went away in a matter of minutes. today it hardened on its own while i was at work and it hasn't gone away. what can it be?

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that hardened scab like portion on gum seems to be CALCULUS deposit over the gums and the reason for its accumulation is improper brushing in that area leading to Calcifications of plaque on the teeth..

As the area on the inner side of front lower teeth is difficult to brush properly therefore it is more liable to get accumulated with plaque and debris and more calculus formation..

I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation can help in diagnosis..

You can be advised to get Scaling of teeth done followed by demonstration of brushing technique that helps in maintaining better hygiene inside mouth..
