What Causes Hard Swollen Wound After A Rug Burn?
so i got a decently bad rug burn a little more than a week ago and it is healing but the surrounding area is swollen and red. When I press on the swollen area it is stiff and a hard squishy not a soft squishy. The area where i pressed stays indents for a bit. Should I go to a doctor to see if it is infected?

I really appreciate your concern, such appearance of wound may be keloid formation and to confirm this you have to go for clinical examination and for that you need to see the surgeon, hope this information helps, take care. ( Early treatment of keloid formation can be prevented with steroid local application )
