What Causes Hard Lump On The Top Of Skull Towards Back?

Hello, I am a 49 years old female. I have a hard lump on top of my head/skull, towards the back. It s hard and it doesn t move neither the skin on top of it. It s like an aftermath of a bump but I am sure I didn t bump my head. It doesn t hurt but when you press on it the area next to it does. I noticed it right after a very emotionally strenuous couple of days. Do I need to see a doctor, if yes, which specialization? Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you need to visit a doctor as soon as possible and do an ultrasound of the lump. Visit your family physician in order to determine first the nature of lump.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
