What Causes Hard Knot On The Site Away From Bee Stung Site?

Hi, I was stung by a bee 2 weeks ago on my right hand and it swelled almost double in size. After the swelling went away which lasted about a 5 days I then noticed a hard knot under the skin about an inch from the bee sting site. What would this knot be and should I have it checked by a doctor?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

The symptoms seem to be related to the bee sting.
I suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine 10 mg daily.
I also suggest using steroid cream for local application such as Hydrocortisone cream.
I recommend using cold compresses for local application.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
