What Causes Hard Knot Like Bump On Back Of Head?
I just found a hard knot like a bump knot on the back of my husband s head. Left side, ear level about the size of a quarter. It does not hurt. However he is freaking out. Should he go to the emergency room? He does not recall hitting his head at all.

If your husband does not recall to have had that knot before, and is not reporting to have had cold/flu symptoms recently, I suggest to schedule an appointment with your physician for further evaluation.
Otherwise, if he has had flu/cold symptoms recently, then, might be related to viral infection. You can check if there are other nodes under his jaw or in the neck.
