What Causes Hard Greenish Stools Post Intestinal Surgery?

My husband ha d a contrast enema imagery done to confirm that his large intestine was healed in three places that had been cut, after the surgery, he had a bowel movement - feces that must have been there after his Sept 10th surgery, and the feces was hard and green, but it caused a prolapse, which had been put back in by an emergency doctor. A small amount still keeps coming out, my husband pushes it back in, what would you suggest he should do?

Hello,
Welvome to HCM,
I think your husband has a problem of lax sphincter due to surgery..green stool sometimes associated with barium enema..
Your husband should do some sphincter strengthening exercises.
Also consult a gi surgeon to discuss te operative managements of prolapse..
Hope this is helpful.
Regards.
