Good Evening, My mother in law is currently in the hospital; this past Saturday (a week ago) she began hallucinating seeing people and animals that weren t there. We took her to the ER and they admitted her to run various of tests. She tested positive for having syphilis, she is 77yrs of age and has not been sexually active in I don t know how many years, we are being told that it s either her medication (BP medication and Diabetic medication) which has not been changed at all to my knowledge or some type of infection. COULD IT BE SOME TYPE OF SYPHILLIS? It is apparent she has had this for some years now i did just read something on neurosyphillis which sounds extremely familiar to what s going on. Your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
