What Causes Hallucinations After A TIMS Procedure In An Elderly Person?

WHMy father in law is 84 years old. He has spinal stenosis, he has had a tins machine attached to his back for serveral years. Two weeks ago he quit taking Cumadon, because on Monday of this week, he had a procedure to get a new type of tins that is completely under his skin. Thursday he fell off his step up bar stool at home. He seemed fine except he was embrassed. On Friday he tried to go to bathroom early in the morning and fell again, then fell again about 1:00. He was talking jibberish like he was hallucinating. So off to the hospital we go. He was admitted. They have done a chest X-ray, cat scan, and blood work. They said they couldn t do a MRI because of that new tins. Nothing from those test showed anything. He was dehydrated and low potassium. So, they started an IV. He has hallucinated all day today and seems a bit worse. Altough, if spoken directly to him, he knows who MU is playing, who the president is and what year it is. He is grabbing at the air like he is catching some thing. They have called for a neurological consult, but that doctor may not show till Monday. His left eye is slightly dropping, but not his mouth. And his left side is weak. After his tims procedure he was given an anabiotic and hydrocodone. Got any ideas.....?
