I am losing my hair, there seems to be bumps forming on my scalp, there are a couple of moles that have appeared on my scalp. now my face is red and i seem to be getting zits or more like little puss bumps on my hairline and face. My scalp is very tender but the puss on my face appearing for no reason is really troubling me.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello and welcome to healthcaremagic.

You seem to be suffering from inflammatory acne along with possible seborrheic dermatitis/dandruff and bacterial infection of hair follicles.

I would suggest that you see a dermatologist. Your dermatologist would most likely put you on oral antibiotics e.g either doxycycline or azithromycin for 4-6 weeks or even longer depending on the response.

An antidandruff shampoo e.g 2% ketoconazole is a must for through cleansing of the scalp, twice or thrice weekly.

Topical antibacterial gels e,g clindamycin gel for day time application and benzoyl peroxide gel for night time application would prove effective for inflammatory acne.
