Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain that waking up with a
dry mouth is the cause for the bleeding from gums and tongue and the cause of dry mouth specifically in the morning is most commonly due to a tendency to do
mouth breathing while sleeping and as the oral cavity is in continuous contact with air there is drying of the mucosal surfaces rendering them dry and irritated..
hen you brush in the morning that is generally immediately after we get up from bed, the mucosa tend to bleed..
There can be mild infection in the gums too, although you cannot appreciate the same and it is causing increased bleeding..
The best way to improve the condition is to sleep with mouth closed and for this you can follow a simple trick:
You can stick a vertical strip of micropore tape/ doctor's tape over closed lips before you sleep at night..
It will enforce
nasal breathing as well as stop mouth breathing..
Sip water whenever you get up in the mid of night..
In morning first of all gargle with water thoroughly to hydrate the mucosas before you proceed to brush..
In cae if still there is bleeding consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and he can do a scaling of the teeth followed by gum paint application to relieve the bleeding..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards.
