What Causes Groin Pain, Bloating And Hard Stools?

Good Afternoon. I have had pain in the groin area for about 11 months. I have had two ultrasounds with trans and a cat scan about 7 months ago. My antibodies are showing 39.6 leaning towards Crohn's disease but I do not have diarrhea or weight loss. I have bloating, pain in the groin. Sometimes my stools are hard and pencil shape. I am relieved most of the time by moving my bowel. I am hoping it is IBS.

Hi.
Thanks for the query.
noted the history of pain in groin for about 11 months, ad ultrasound and CT scan. Antibodies are showing 39.6 leaning towards Crohn's disease but there is no diarrhea or weight loss. Have bloating and pain in the groin, stools are sometime hard and pencil shaped. Relieved most of the times by moving bowel, hoping this to be IBS...
Since the history itself may not sufficient for the diagnosis of Crohn's or IBS I would advise you the following:
Tests of stool for three consecutive days.
Tests of blood for CBC, thyroid, liver and kidney functions.
Colonoscopy and biopsy is most diagnostic.
CT scan was already done.
Once diagnosed the treatment becomes easy and effective.
If all the tests are normal then only we can say this to be IBS. Then it is important to have control of stress and/or anxiety as you might have that cause IBS-C meaning constipation dominant.
Get treated accordingly.
