General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Normally greenish stools occur due to the diet you are taking. Green leafy vegetables, green food coloring, such as in flavored drinks, iron supplements, etc. This will cause change in color of the stool in few bowel movements. If the stool is continuing to show change of color, you are suggested to get stool test (R/E and C/S) done.

It can be indicative of liver infection, liver dysfunction, etc., so bile production is reduced. bile flow may be blocked. Get clinically examined by a GP, get liver function tests, CBC, urinalysis, imaging tests done to detect the pathology causing you the symptoms. You will be treated accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
