What Causes Green Puss Draining From The Nose?

I ve had a bad odor from my nose for over a month treatment with antibiotics got worse had a ft very big cyst removed filled with very bad smelling pus two weeks after surgery the smell has intensified and lots of gooey green pus drainage comming from my nose now is this normal will it pass

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that green pus discharge from nose is an indication of infection and in case if you has a cyst removed and the pus formation is still present there is a possibility that there is recurrence of infection or there is a possibility that the previous infection has not yet completely subsided..

I would therefore suggest you to consult an ENT Surgeon and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like nasal endoscopy and x ray,MRI scan of sinuses as they might also be infected has to be done..
As the sinuses drains through nose infection in sinuses can cause pus discharge through nose..

You can be advised oral as well as injectable antibiotics, decongestant nasal sprays and if there is no resolution surgical drainage can be advised..
