What Causes Green Discharge From Breast During Mammogram?
I recently had my mammagram....which showed nothing. But during the process of having it done my left breast had a greenish discharge that came from it. The techician asked had I noticed a discharge from my breast, I answered no because I have not noticed a discharge........Do I need to see my primary physician???? Should I be concerned
welcome to Health care magic. 1.There might me some inflammatory reaction within the breast with collection which is not seen leaking by you normally. 2.But during mammogram there is pressure applied on breast from both sides CC - up to down, MLO - laterally and medial. due to that the leak might be seen. 3.Since report is normal - its nothing to do with the mass / lesions just a inflammatory reaction. 4.For confirmation get a ultrasound breast done - helps in find out the source of the fluid - causes ( ductal ectasia , ductal dilatation ) 5.Yes you need to see your physician and get ultrasound scan done and take a treatment for the cause ( inflammatory) a course of antibiotic may be helpful in this case. Hope it helps you. Wish you a good health. Anything to ask ? do not hesitate. Thank you.
