General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Grade-1 diastolic dysfunction is the mildest form of diastolic heart failure and is referred to as an abnormal relaxation pattern. Patients are usually asymptomatic and many adults older than 70 have it. It may result from some underlying causes such as Hypertension, Coronary heart disease, Aging, Aortic stenosis, Restrictive cardiomyopathy, DM, Obesity, Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, Systolic heart failure etc.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
