What Causes Golden Colored Urine With History Of Pancreatic Cancer?

My husband had The Whipple surgery for pancreatic cancer 3 years ago. He now complains of golden colored urine some of the time. Is this serious or is it a sign of something going wrong again. He had deep golden urine before he was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.

Hi,
Thanks for asking.
Based on your query, my opinion is as follows.
1. Golden colored urine could be due to urine appearing more yellowish - possibly concentrated urine.
2. Its commonly due to dehydration. Pancreatic cancer with metastasis or any causes would not cause these symptoms. It does not appear to be serious. Urine examination will show increased specific gravity, with normal findings.
3. Increased hydration with more water and fruit juice intake on regular basis should be helpful. At-least 6-7 liters of fluids, per day, will be helpful. Cranberry and blue berry in diet will reduce risk of any bladder infection.
Hope it helps.
Any further queries, happy to help again.
