What Causes Friction Sounds In The Knees When I Bend My Knees?

grinding sounds in my knee and can feel it grind when I hold it with my hand as I am bending my knees.. also loud popping sounds when I walk in my knee occasionally. also in my ankles and elbows. I am 48 year female and diabetic. what can this be. I am not over weight. and eat healthy and a non smoker I am concerned. my knees don t hurt, either does ankles or elbows. what can I do to stop this. is there any supplents I can take

Hi,

Friction sounds can be normal in joints, but it is also important to rule out joint wear out diseases like osteoarthritis. Pain may or may not be present, and hence i would recommend you to consult an orthopedician for further evaluation. If joint x-rays are normal, you may be benefited by isometric exercises. All the best.
