What Causes Frequently Recurring Sleep Paralysis Episodes?

Hi my name is Lexi and I have very frequent sleep paralysis episodes. I usually have about five episodes per week and sometimes I have 2 to 3 episodes in one night. I do not hallucinate from these episodes but I have not been able to sleep after the episodes simply because of fear. Are there any available treatments or answers for my problem. Thank you

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The reason for recurring sleep paralysis episodes is mostly due to genetic factors, abnormal sleep cycles, lack of sound sleep, stressful life etc.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
