My question to you is what can I do to to help me not need to urinate so often? I am a women and in good Heath . I am 68 years young. This problem has just started in the las three weeks. I sometimes cannot make it to the washroom in time. I cannot stop the urine flow.
Hello Thanks for query .You have problem of increased frequency for urination with urgency for urination .
It is very common to have these symptoms in females after the age of menopause due to what is called as Post Menopausal Urethral Stenosis.
There is narrowing of the urethral passage as part of generalized atrophy of genito urinary organs which causes incomplete emptying of bladder giving rise to significant residual urine to remain in bladder which is a source of secondary UTI..
You need to consult qualified Urologist for clinical assessment and get Endoscopic calibration of urethra done which needs to be followed by clean self intermittent catheterization (C.S.I.C)at home This will resolve your problem for for ever .
