What Causes Frequent Urination?

My symptoms are having to urinate every hour. I am a 40 yr. old female in good shape physically and eat a good diet. I have no blood in my urine but when I do go every hr. it is just a few drops of urine. I have a dull ache in my lower abdomen. The walk in clinic says that their test shows no UTI.

Hi,

Thank you for your question.

Frequent urination can happen due to a urinary tract infection or as a symptom of diabetes.
In your case as you have mentioned that you have an ache in the lower abdomen this indicates there might be a mild infection.
Spot urine analysis sometimes cannot show an underlying infection.
I would advise you to do a proper urine analysis which is not the spot-test and it is a laboratory test. Also do a urine culture as sometimes there is a bacteria that grows in the laboratory.
I would also advise you to do a fasting glucose just to rule out diabetes.

Wishing you good health.
If you have any further questions please feel free to contact me.
Best regards.
