What Causes Frequent Urination And Pain In The Navel?
Hello. Wednesday I had an odd increase in urination and a dull pain behind my belly button like someone pulling string from my vaginal or urethra or bladder area( I can’t tell which) then I drank cranberry and vinegar and the frequent urinating slowed but there is a sharp pain behind my navel only and the end of my urine stream. No discoloration or blood, fever nothing at all just these symptoms. No insurance so I bought some azo and women’s urinary tract health and fresh cranberries. What could it be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I am Dr Mittal. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
There are many possible causes to your symptoms, most possible of which are the follows-
1. a urinary calculi
2. diabetic ketoacidosis.
3. urine infection.
In any of these situations, I would have suggested the following tests-
a. ultrasound of the abdomen.
b. urine routine and culture.
c. FBS, PPBS
I would need to know the reports of these tests. The tests would yield a diagnosis and the treatment would vary with the diagnosis. Please let me know the reports for further suggestions.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Best wishes,
Dr Mittal
