General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

A urinary tract infection per se directly is not responsible for burning stomach, but there are various reasons for such issue as
- associated stress and anxiety
- previous gastritis flare up when there is active infection in body
- drug-induced (as antibiotic or analgesic)
- ranitidine resistant peptic ulcer disease

I would quote to go for urine microscopy and upper GI endoscopy after discussion of need of the same with your consultant.

Meanwhile, drink plenty of liquids and avoid spices. Can change your antacid from ranitidine to omeprazole for better acid control.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
