What Causes Frequent Urination Along With Severe Headaches And Nausea?

I have just returned from Mexico (bitten by mosquito s despite repellants and band) a few days prior to leaving I had a bout of very yellow frequent urine and vomiting very yellow liquid. Could this be related to a virus (concerned about Zika virus reports now I am back in UK). Both myself and husband had a striking headache too and whilst he felt nauseous he was not sick. Reported to holiday rep whilst I was there. I have a pregnant daughter so am concerned. Many Thanks

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have frequent urination along with severe headaches and nausea which seems to be due to viral infection leading to acute gastroenteritis , sinusitis , meniere's disease or migraine. Frequent urination is pointing towards kidney infection , UTI or bladder dysfunction. I would suggest you to visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. You should avoid intake of outside food. You should lessen use of milk and milk products. Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for migraine or ENT specialist for condition like meniere's disease. Avoid stress , drink lots of water to maintain adequate hydration. Avoid fast foods, carbonated drinks & gas producing food products like cabbage and dairy product, etc. Also take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain .

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
